#eurotrip2015

Went to Switzerland & England last December..here’s my wonderful journey~

19/12/15 Boarded my flight to Zurich via Emirates and got to transit at Dubai Airport for about 2 hours.  It was my first time there, from the plane I see that Dubai is a city surrounded by a huge dessert.

20/12/15 Reached Zurich during the evening and got lost while looking for the apartment but the cab driver was kind enough to walk with me and we finally found it.

21/12/15 Woke up hungry at 2 am due to jet lag and when the sun finally rises at about 8 am, I got my first good look at Zurich. We live near Lake Zurich, the swans made it magical. I also became obsessed with the Christmas trees here because they use real ones and can be as tall as a building.

22/12/15 Visited Aathal Dinosaur Museum, a really interesting and educational place to visit. The child in me was thrilled.

23/12/15 Boarded a train today bound for Zermatt, a skiing village about 2.30 hours away, pretty excited to go to the Swiss Alps, something that I only read in a book of facts when I was little, furthermore I was going to see the famous Matterhorn Mountain, the one on the Toblerone chocolate packaging. But it was already dark when we reach there so we just took a stroll outside the hotel.

24/12/15 Hello Matterhorn! My friend went skiing and I had all this snowy terrain all to myself! No other way to spend it then to take a hike on an actual snow mountain..

25/12/15 Merry Christmas…My friend went skiing again today and I decided to take a stroll around Zermatt town, felt so magical because there are no cars allowed in here so people actually travel around by skiing.. cool stuff there.. some old buildings were maintained and I even saw a pub that looks to be on lowered ground HIMYM style..

26/12/15 Took a cable car to the the foot of Mt.Matterhorn, looks hot here but the weather was super cold, we had warm vegetable soup..

27/12/15 Flew to London via Swiss Airlines, we live quite near to Harrods, I used to see it from the Mr.Bean series and was exited when I finally get to see it up close! Had yummy spicy spaghetti too in a proper restaurant.

 28/12/15 Enjoyed London sights!

29/12/15 Attempted to watch The Changing of The Guards at non other than Buckingham Palace but it was too packed, so we went to Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park. Love the bazaars here selling all sorts of quirky odds and ends.

30/12/15 Visited London Zoo all by myself today, pretty excited to see a gorilla for the first time, then we went to Harrods again and The Toy Store to look for a special toy for my little niece.

31/12/15 New Year’s Eve was spent at Hamley’s, a huge seven floor toy store, it was the best toy store I’ve ever stepped foot in. Then we planned on spending the whole evening at Winter Wonderland but it rained so we had to go back early with the kids and all.. we fell asleep before 12 am LOL

01/01/16 Happy New Year 2016! Today is my last day here, we just went to Harrods for last minute shopping and had Chinese food.

02/01/16 Goodbye Europe, till we meet again!
